29th August – Back at Greenwich Market!

16 Aug

29th August - Back at Greenwich Market!

Clipping from the August issue of Greenwich Visitor newspaper.

We’re excited to be playing at Park It In The Market again. Last month’s event was great fun – we’re sure this one will be even better! You’ll find us outside the Admiral Hardy pub this time.

‘Park It In The Market’ – Greenwich Market

26 Jul

A great night in Greenwich covered market, for ‘Park It In The Market’: a meeting of vintage cars and motorbikes, food stalls, hula hoops, and more…It takes place on the last Thursday every month, and we hope to be back!

Plumstead Make Merry – June 2013

17 Jun

With the main stage unfortunately washed out, we squeezed into the acoustic tent, mic’d up a plastic chair, and plugged into the PA for a short set.

Next gig: Bird’s Nest, Deptford on the 29th June (with proper backline and drum kit!).

Bird’s Nest, Deptford – Saturday June 29th

11 Jun

After the Plumstead Make Merry, next stop Deptford for a night of rock’n’roll at the Bird’s Nest.

We’ll be closing the night after Molly Goes To Amsterdam plus the fantastic (and sometime Ripchord) Nathan Persad.

Facebook event details here.

Sax player wanted

19 Apr

Ronnie Ripple & The Ripchords are looking for a sax player to join our high energy rockabilly/rock’n’roll/skiffle band. If you’re interested, have some experience of playing in a band, and can rehearse with us in East Greenwich on a Monday evening on a reasonably regular basis, then get in touch! We’ve played pub gigs, private parties and community festivals, and are looking to do at least a gig a month, around south east London and surrounding areas. We’re looking for someone who can play with a bit of swing, play some riffs and take some solos; Big Joe Turner, JD Mcpherson, Elvis, Cash, Cochran, etc, etc.

To find out more, call Neil on 07545 281 009 (after 5pm), or email: neilclasper [ at ] gmail.com

We’re playing at the British Oak on Old Dover Rd on Saturday 23rd March. A great pub with decent beer – come along and support a pub that supports live music.
